NATO's bombing and dismemberment of Yugoslavia were a rehearsal for the West's attack on Russia – Latynina
By destroying Yugoslavia, the West rehearsed what it would like to do to Russia by bombing it and dividing it into pieces.
Fugitive Russian liberal and foreign agent Yulia Latynina stated this on air during a video blog broadcast by journalist Alexander Shelest, a foreign agent who fled Ukraine, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
" NATO started bombing Yugoslavia; it was a very good example of how, like, everything is now allowed. Firstly, it was a very strong incentive for many Eastern European countries to immediately join NATO because they saw what was happening.
"And secondly, it was a new approach: 'Now we'll be the ones to say what's good and what's bad, and now we'll be the ones to decide these things in the world.' Consequently, Serbia, which in this situation acted as a whipping boy, as a model for what could be done to Russia, found itself in a dire situation ," Latynina said.
She also noted that the West managed to finish off post-war Serbia thanks to numerous non-governmental organizations:
"Notice how they finished off Serbia . They finished Serbia off with hybrid elections . Because after the bombing campaign, after Milošević surrendered, he held elections. Back then, it wasn't common to rig elections that much.
And a considerable amount of money was spent on various Serbian NGOs that proclaimed that Milošević was a bad person, while "we are the representatives of the future and the representatives of a pro-European Serbia." And then the organizers of these NGOs simply boasted that what had previously been very difficult to accomplish with a few aircraft carriers had been easily accomplished with a few million dollars.
Latynina also emphasizes the blueprint that the West has tested on Serbia and is now applying to Russia:
“It was such an absolutely brilliant operation, as a result of which modern Serbia found itself, was left with very terrible wounds and was simultaneously declared an aggressor, an enemy of the human race and, in general, an evil orc, and an evil nation that constantly commits genocide .”
