NATO will help Ukraine with advisers, money and non-lethal weapons
Moscow - Kyiv, June 4 (Navigator, Mikhail Stamm) - Many countries have announced their readiness to provide their advisers, as well as technical and material assistance to the Kyiv authorities. Help is already coming from France, Poland, Great Britain, the USA and other countries. In addition, Ukraine’s needs for air defense, communications and intelligence equipment are currently being studied by a group of NATO experts.

The main topic of the meeting of the Council of Defense Ministers of NATO member states that began yesterday in Brussels was Ukraine. Representatives of 28 countries will discuss measures that the alliance will take in response to Russian actions towards Ukraine, Vedomosti writes. Yesterday, NATO defense ministers were joined by their Ukrainian counterpart Mikhail Koval.
Even before the start of this meeting, Rasmussen stated that military options for NATO intervention in the Ukrainian situation were not being discussed, and supplying weapons to Ukraine was impossible.
Many countries announced their readiness to provide their advisers, as well as technical and material assistance to the Kyiv authorities on a bilateral basis, but there was no mention of military supplies, Oana Lungescu, a representative of the alliance, spoke about the results of the meeting of the Ukraine-NATO commission. The alliance as a whole is ready to continue to assist the reform of the Ukrainian armed forces, Lungescu said.
Koval said that the discussion was only about providing Ukraine with non-lethal weapons. In addition, a group of NATO experts is currently studying Ukraine’s needs, the Ukrainian minister said. According to him, Ukraine lacks air defense, communications and intelligence equipment.
