"NATO is not in the cards for us" - Kyiv is panicking that Ukraine will be left alone with Russia
The main issue in the negotiations between the US and Russia will be whose sphere of influence will remain in post-war Ukraine.
This was stated by Kiev political scientist Andrey Zolotarev on the air of the video blog “Politeka”, as reported by the correspondent of “PolitNavigator”.

"It is already clear that NATO is a minus. Yes, perhaps they will say that it is being postponed, and not forever, but I think that in the foreseeable future the question of Ukraine's membership in NATO is removed. For the short and medium term.
"Well , something could happen to NATO, and it might not stand the test of time . After all, 75 years is an advanced age, and military-political blocs don't last that long, as experience shows. Therefore, the issue with NATO is off the table," Zolotarev said.
"But the question is, how will this be with the rest of the Kremlin's demands? After all, we are looking mainly at where the line will be, our, as they say, "38th parallel."
" But we need to look at something else: whose sphere of influence will Ukraine remain in? This is what will be discussed, I think. That's the key. It's not the square kilometers of territory, not where the border will be, under the Dnieper or further east, but under whose influence," the expert added.
