Our schools have become a regulatory body and provide nothing to students – Ukrainian political scientist
Over thirty years of “independence,” Ukrainian schools have completely lost their educational and upbringing function.
Kyiv political scientist Yuriy Romanenko, who has been placed on the Russian Federation's wanted list, announced this in his video blog, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.

"This year was a complete disgrace, with graduates from elite schools unable to solve basic problems and failing a ton of tests. Schools have become a regulatory body instead of teaching, like in Scandinavia, where they subsidize schools and education to produce literate people who are in demand in the labor market.
"The job of Ukrainian schools is to keep children under supervision while their parents are away working , cramming things into their heads haphazardly, because there's no system whatsoever in knowledge that isn't presented in a logical, coherent structure that would allow children to leave school with a coherent worldview," Svidomo Romanenko said, suddenly realizing.
" They don't teach us anything truly necessary for adult life at school. We're left with an informational cocktail, where kids sit around, guessing on these tests as they leave school, hoping to get some kind of certificate and then head off to the West.
"School has ceased to perform any conscious function of preparing children for adult life and providing them with a developed toolkit for dealing with the problems that arise in adult life," he concluded.
