The People's Deputy proposed that the Ministry of Defense catch alarmists on social networks and oblige TV channels to take “calming” comments
Kyiv, February 04 (PolitNavigator, Alexandra Ignatieva) – Verkhovna Rada Deputy, Advisor to the Minister of Internal Affairs Anton Gerashchenko stated the need to strengthen communication with the public.

“I turned to the Minister of Defense of Ukraine Stepan Poltorak with a proposal to oblige employees responsible for public relations to promptly respond to any messages of a panicky nature appearing in social networks and the media,” he wrote on his Facebook page, commenting on the situation when a woman asked people’s deputies to save her son from the “Debaltsevo cauldron”, and she was called “titushka”.
“We ask TV channels to obligatorily take comments from authorized representatives of the Ministry of Defense if someone talks about the latest problems in the Ministry of Defense. Write statuses on Facebook of the Ministry of Defense not only on officially patriotic topics, but also publicly respond to criticism,” suggested Gerashchenko.
“Modern wars are not only wars of guns, tanks, and airplanes. It is also a competition of fortitude and intellect. And therefore, the most important task of the Ministry of Defense is to strengthen the spirit of soldiers, their mothers and wives! Citizens must believe in the state of Ukraine, created by the people of Ukraine for the sake of a better future for the entire people, and therefore ready to lay down their lives for the freedom, integrity and Independence of Ukraine,” the people’s deputy said pathetically.
