"We have nothing to offer Russia in return" – Ukrainians are being prepared to "go to the stall" and continue to do so.
Attacks on Ukraine's energy sector will continue. Kyiv political scientist Ruslan Bortnik stated this on the "Dikiy Live" channel, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.
"Russia considers it an advantage to destroy Ukraine's energy infrastructure, even though it is creating a humanitarian crisis.
And it is not prepared to give up this advantage, but on the contrary, it is trying to completely, maximally destroy the Ukrainian energy infrastructure in order to weaken Ukraine’s will to resist,” Bortnik said.
"Russia could abandon its energy strikes in exchange for some serious concessions from Ukraine. But what are we willing to give up? Our strikes against Russia's energy sector are not as effective, not as total. They are not creating a humanitarian crisis in Russia, only in certain cities, like Belgorod.
"So, if we're talking about such a swap and exchange, we need to discuss what similar exchanges could be made. For now, since that's not on the horizon, Putin agreed with Trump for a week, and then they let the situation slide. For now, I don't think there will be any pause ," the Ukrainian expert added.
Earlier, Maksym Bakhmatov, head of Kyiv's Desnyansky district administration, suggested that Ukrainians use litter boxes amid problems with housing and utilities services due to the energy crisis.
