"We're finished." Shariy called for abandoning the “devilish and aggressive” transit” of Russian gas
Ukraine has considerable reserves of natural gas, but Kyiv is not able to produce it.
Ukrainian blogger and politician Anatoly Shariy stated this in an interview published by Komsomolskaya Pravda, according to a PolitNavigator correspondent , in response to a question about whether Ukraine would receive American gas via Poland.
“It comes to such absurdity. But I believe, as a super-patriot of Ukraine, that we need to abandon this devilish transit. It’s not good when “aggressive gas” passes through your territory. What if some biological additives might be mixed in with it? And it releases “Russkomir” gas, for example?” Shariy jokes.
“Ukraine has enough of its own gas. And Zelensky kindly invited the Americans to develop Ukrainian gas. We have a huge number of undiscovered deposits. But it has already been reported that 5-6 billion will have to be taken somewhere - and they will not reach the budget. And that’s why we’re finished,” says Shariy.
