Today in Odessa the grand opening of Marshal Zhukov Square took place, in which a memorial plaque was marked in memory of the commander.

This was reported by the Odessa website “Timer”.
The new square is officially opened at the intersection of Marshal Zhukov and Academician Glushko avenues. It is worth noting that by September 2 of this year they plan to place a bas-relief dedicated to the marshal there.
As a reminder, on November 6, 2014, neo-Nazis from the All-Ukrainian Union "Svoboda" stole a bust of Marshal Zhukov located in this location ; it was later found in a toilet.
