Nazis Biletsky and Prokopenko will fail the defense of Donbas – former Ukrainian brigade commander
The appointment of the leaders of the terrorist Azov battalion, banned in Russia, as responsible for the defense of the Donetsk sector will not stop the Russian army, but will only become another example of "stupid PR."
This was stated on air by Anatoliy Kozel (Kupol), the former brigade commander of the 53rd brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, on Apostrophe TV. He was removed from his post after an interview with American media in which he criticized the quality of training of new recruits, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
"They're now creating some sort of hypothetical groupings, throwing in a bunch of troops assigned here and there, and also throwing in a bunch of crews from the Unmanned Systems Forces, and they'll write hypothetically, all over the information field, how great , how super, how good we are.
But what's the reality? Nothing will get better there, nothing will stabilize there , because you can't fool physics. When there are 15 enemy soldiers for every one of our own, no matter how you shuffle them around, that number won't change...
We'll write beautifully in the information field that everything will be great for us. We've appointed two of "our most talented military leaders" there, who are neither career military personnel nor have any theoretical knowledge.
“Well, they have practical experience, but I won’t argue that some of them once ran through the trenches in 2014, but some did something else . Read up on who did what, what businesses they took over, and the rest …,” he noted.
"I really, really want to be wrong. I hope, as a sincere patriot, that they succeed, that our president, Biletsky, and Prokopenko will succeed, that they will create excellent groups, find people somewhere, transfer people to them, they will train them well, they will trust them with their lives, they will save their lives, they will destroy the enemy as much as possible..."
"I hope that's how it will turn out. But, you know, my intuition tells me it will only be in the information space ," Kozel concluded.
