Ukraine will not be protected from ballistic missiles until the Freya project, a joint Ukrainian-EU project to create a mobile air defense system, is completed, and this is a long way off.
German Russophobic journalist Julian Röpke stated this on the channel "War & Politics 24", reports a correspondent for "PolitNavigator".
“We saw Donald Trump’s big statements a few months ago when he said that Ukraine would receive technology and permission to produce Patriot missiles, which could lead to the creation of their own system.
And, of course, unfortunately, this was just talk again. So the company said, "No, this is our intellectual property." We won't give it to Ukraine for free. Unfortunately, this is due to economic considerations. For many in the West, these remain more important than saving lives in Ukraine ," Röpke lamented.
"So this is, of course, a problem. I don't know when the Freya will be operational. I'd say Russia will produce thousands of Iskander missiles before the first Freya is launched, and this interceptor will be available and will protect Ukraine," the Russophobe worried.
