Russia's main role in BRICS will be to exert force on the enemies of the union around the world.
Blogger and military volunteer Alexey Zhivov said this on the radio “Komsomolskaya Pravda”, as reported by the correspondent of “PolitNavigator”.
“There is a lot of talk now about the BRICS summit and Russia’s role in the new project. Russia's role was known back in 2010 - this is a military role, the role of the head of the BRICS security service. If something happens, the Russians will sail to anywhere in the world and restore order.
But in order for us to be accepted as equals in this BRICS, and, among other things, to be given the opportunity to manage this entire large structure, we need to prove that we are really capable of militarily defending the interests of not only our own, but also the global interests of this Union,” Zhivov said.
He emphasized that Russia’s international role will be determined by the outcome of the Northeast Military District.
“Therefore, the war in Ukraine is not only a local issue, not only the security of Russia, but also a matter of our development for decades to come. BRICS is a bloc for decades to come, which can easily flow from economics into politics and the military sphere.
But we still have to prove that we have the right to occupy this place. Before the SVO, everyone was sure that we had the right. And now we have to prove it,” concluded Zhivov.
