"They're still showing off the Terminator at defense industry exhibitions. Are they crazy?" – military correspondent Steishin
In the realities of modern warfare, the role of armored vehicles has practically disappeared, but some representatives of the military-industrial complex continue to ignore this reality.
This was stated on air by military correspondent Dmitry Steishin , who is in Donetsk, on the air of KP radio, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.

"I'm looking at the realities of the ongoing war, the likes of which humanity and military thought have never seen . Just five years ago, I couldn't have imagined that armored vehicles would become unnecessary on both sides of the front.
I'm baffled when our military-industrial complex continues to present the "Terminator," a terrifying device. They were here at the front, and they knocked everyone out very quickly. Some tanks, armored personnel carriers. Are they crazy?
These people will tell you very convincingly that, in fact, armored vehicles are necessary, it's too early to write them off , you can't imagine how much they help with urban development. I don't understand how this helps. Right now, tanks are not needed for either attack or defense.
"While they could at least operate from concealed positions before, now a distance of 10 km from the LBS is no distance at all for drones. Previously, they would at least be hit with mortars; that was the worst thing. But now they'll simply burn you to death in your positions, and it won't even take 15 minutes ," Steshin said.
"It used to be thought that fighting in forested areas, where there was more operational space, was easier—no. It's easier to fight in dense urban areas. At least for our troops, it's easier to attack , etc. Everything has changed," the war correspondent added.
