US special envoy on anti-Semitism travels to Ukraine
US Special Envoy for Monitoring and Combating Anti-Semitism Elan Carr will visit Ukraine after participating in the International March for Life, which takes place annually in Poland and Israel from May 1-5, PolitNavigator reports.
This was reported by the US Embassy in Ukraine.

“Special Envoy Carr will travel to Kyiv to speak at the Kiev Jewish Forum on May 6th. Special Envoy Carr will also meet with representatives of the Ukrainian authorities and the Jewish community,” says a statement published on the embassy’s official website.
After that, on May 7-9, Carr will visit Warsaw and Budapest (Hungary), and on May 12 he will travel to Belgium.
US President Donald Trump appointed former Los Angeles prosecutor Alan Kara to the post of Commissioner for Monitoring and Combating Anti-Semitism in February.
The US State Department created the position of the Office of the Commissioner to Monitor and Combat Antisemitism in 2004. But since 2016, no one has held the post of ambassador.
