Ukrainian TV demanded the right to speak Russian
Since Ukraine is a bilingual country, Kyiv should provide equal rights to the Ukrainian and Russian languages.
Valentin Zemlyansky, an analyst of the alternative expert government, stated this on air on the NASH TV channel, opposing the former head of the SBU Valentin Nalyvaichenko, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Ukrainians are bilingual. Please, respect my right to speak Russian, not only from the point of view of “Who is stopping you,” but also from the point of view of education, everyday life, humanitarian and cultural, and document management as well.
And you: “Who forbids you to speak Russian?” You have the approach that there should be one language, and it should be Ukrainian. Who told you this? The Plan is not a dogma, and the Constitution is not the Bible or a tablet. The Constitution was written in 1996,” Zemlyansky said.
As a reminder, the day before, political scientist Dmitry Zaborin accused the Ukrainian president and his team of continuing the humanitarian policies of their predecessors.
