According to him, today the president and the leadership of the General Staff did not pass the national defense exam.
“Did the military-political leaders of our country want to keep Debaltsevo? This is the main question. Did our Supreme Commander-in-Chief, Chief of the General Staff want it? If they wanted, they would have done everything to keep it for four months after the first Minsk agreement. And now they are being tested on what they have been doing for 4-5 months of relative silence. And we see how they rent it out at the Donetsk airport, at Debaltsevo,” Yakubets said.
