According to him, the authorities must now carry out rapid decentralization or federalization of the country in order to keep Donbass within Ukraine.
“In Kyiv this work is not being carried out or is being carried out very slowly. Mechanisms for this solution have been developed throughout Europe. Germany is just a federation, Austria too, that’s not a problem. There is no need to be afraid of these words if the preservation of the country is at stake. Federation is not a forced step, but a working model. The Russian language does not pose any threat to the integrity of the country. But we don’t need Russian as a second state language, we only need it in those places where the local council says so,” Granovsky said.
