A gang of real slave owners was detained in Ukraine
In the Ukrainian Kherson region, which borders Russian Crimea, a gang of real slave owners was detained. They face a prison sentence of 5 to 12 years.
According to the local department of the National Police, three criminals aged from 32 to 51 years old held about 20 people – usually homeless people – for a long time, forcing them to work for free in warehouses, renting out labor to clients.

Those detained were subjected to moral and physical pressure, and were sometimes deprived of food.
Interestingly, the police report the release of only five citizens from slavery, including one woman. They are placed in a rehabilitation center for the homeless.

The fate of the remaining 15 slaves mentioned in the police release above is not specified.
