In Ukraine, no one cares about Saakashvili – Rada deputy from Galicia
No one in Ukraine cares about the fate of former Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili – the people of the "independent" country are thinking about how to survive the winter with its enormous tariffs.
Verkhovna Rada deputy Dmitry Bakunets stated this on the Ukraine 24 TV channel, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
“The whole country is doing nothing during these six days of Saakashvili’s hunger strike, they are only thinking – from a small village to the highest government offices: “How can he be freed”...
I absolutely disagree with this idea; no one in our country cares about it. My voters in the Lviv region are interested in gas tariffs. They are interested in when teachers’ salaries will be paid, for which the debt is still last year.
"There are issues on the agenda, the heating season is just a week away, and many cities aren't ready for it—or haven't yet set their tariffs . People are thinking about how to survive and pay for heating during the winter, not about Saakashvili," Bakunets emphasized.
As a reminder, Kyiv previously announced that, in the future, even those European countries that declare their support for Kyiv in the energy sector will purchase Russian gas transported through pipelines that bypass Ukraine.
