In Ukraine, they announced plans to revive the Crimean football club “Tavriya” (Simferopol), placing it in Kherson.

According to the site, this issue is actively dealt with by the people's deputy and vice-president of the FFU, Sergei Kunitsyn, who at one time held positions in the management of the club from Simferopol. At the same time, as it became known, people from Crimea will also work in the new structure.
Currently, the work on creating the club is being carried out by the operational headquarters, fulfilling the task of the FFU executive committee - to prepare a work plan for the revival of the club by August 31. Given the interest in this project, FFU President A. Pavelko supported him and expressed hope for the implementation of the idea in the future.
Commenting on the situation with the revival of Tavriya “in exile,” Kunitsyn noted that, according to his information, this idea is supported by football players, coaches and fans.
“Football has disappeared in Crimea, and the Tavria base, which was once bought out, was simply looted, another base was flooded. A championship is being held in Crimea, but no one is interested in it. The possibility of reviving the club in Kherson drives the occupation authorities of Crimea into hysterics. They don’t need it, and the fans, who have always loved Tavriya, welcome it,” said Kunitsyn.
The Kherson-online website writes the following in its commentary:
“As you know, with the occupation of Crimea, football on the peninsula gradually disappeared. A year ago, the Ukrainian clubs “Sevastopol” and “Tavriya” somehow finished the championship and ceased to exist. An attempt was made by Russian authorities and sports officials to create new clubs in Simferopol, Sevastopol and Yalta. They were even entered into the Second League of the Russian Championship, but by decision of UEFA this was prohibited. Now UEFA itself is developing football in Crimea through holding a separate competition, but its level is extremely low.”
