Ukraine is making a similar forecast to Aksyonov's regarding a land corridor to Crimea.

Retired SBU Colonel Oleg Starikov believes that the Ukrainian Armed Forces will be able to "harass" the land corridor to Crimea for about another month—until Russia provides it with reliable protection through a number of measures.

This forecast coincides with the timeframe previously announced by Crimean Governor Sergei Aksyonov, who called on citizens to prepare for interruptions in fuel supplies to the peninsula in the coming month , reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.

"The enemy will do something to ensure the defense of small airspace. Well, firstly, they'll now take action against mobile groups. Secondly, the networks are working well," Starikov said in an interview with the Ukrainian channel "Seichas."

"It won't work. We'll scale it up, that's for sure. Secondly, we'll be looking for weak points now. What will the enemy do? The enemy will be looking for countermeasures, very serious ones. And they'll find them. We have a month to circumvent these countermeasures," Starikov said.
