The holding company Ukrspetstekhnika is working to create a radar system capable of detecting drones at a distance of up to 8 km and disrupting the operation of their systems.

This was announced at a press conference in Kyiv by Mikhail Prokhorenko, Deputy Chairman of the Board of the Holding Company “Ukrspetstekhnika”, Member of the Board of the Public Union “League of Defense Enterprises of Ukraine”.
“Strikes will be delivered to important facilities that can cause man-made disasters: nuclear power plants, hydroelectric power stations, dams, oil product storage facilities, weapons depots. Which is, in general, what we see. The task that faces us is to neutralize the work of unmanned aerial vehicles and high-precision weapons, such as the Tomahawk, which was now used by the United States and Russian Calibers. The fight must be comprehensive, including detection of unmanned aerial vehicles, their identification, jamming of navigation channels, jamming of control and telemetry channels, and suppression of fire. Only an integrated approach in the fight against unmanned aerial vehicles guarantees that they will not fulfill their tasks,” Prokhorenko said.
According to him, this is the path his company has decided to take, creating the Lis-3M radar system, which will be capable of detecting unmanned aerial vehicles at a distance of up to 8 km, as well as devices with a small effective reflective surface.
“We will use these “Lis-3M” in the “Jeb” system, we will equip the optical-electronic module with such a complex, which will include the possibility of direction finding, we will automatically generate the same signals and send them to an unmanned aerial vehicle , in order to neutralize and eliminate its control. We will also expand the ability to suppress navigation channels. We are adding the ability to use not only GPS Glonass, but also suppression of the Galileo system. Such a complex will be installed on a vehicle. He will be able to solve a complex problem,” Prokhorenko promised.
As PolitNavigator reported, the chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on National Security and Defense admitted that the ceiling of Ukraine's military-industrial complex is the production of Dozor armored vehicles and Molot mortars.
Furthermore, the head of the SBU stated that the Ukrainian Armed Forces are powerless against drones destroying Ukrainian ammunition depots.
