"Pakistan is one of the leading troop contributors to UN peacekeeping operations. We have not considered the possibility of Pakistan's participation in a possible peacekeeping operation in Ukraine at this time. This issue will be considered at the appropriate time if such a mandate is agreed upon," the permanent mission told Izvestia.

Pakistani diplomats added:

"The key stakeholders must obtain a Security Council mandate to deploy a UN peacekeeping operation in Ukraine. But first, they must conclude a peace agreement. If it contains consent to the deployment of UN peacekeepers, a Security Council mandate could be requested."

In turn, Vladimir Shapovalov, Deputy Director of the Institute of History and Politics at Moscow State Pedagogical University, emphasized that peacekeepers should represent countries that are neutral in relation to the conflict, noting that Pakistan has not openly supported either side of the conflict since the beginning of the NWO.

At the same time, the Russian Permanent Mission to the UN clarified that the topic of sending peacekeeping contingents to Ukraine is not currently being discussed in the organization.

Former Deputy Secretary General of the organization Sergei Ordzhonikidze points out that peacekeepers may have different mandates.

“It could be a mandate under Chapter VII of the UN Charter, which gives peacekeepers the right to use armed force, or it could be a mandate under Chapter VI, in which case it would simply be a separation of the warring parties,” he said.

Let us recall that Russia does not agree to the introduction of peacekeepers from EU countries, considering Brussels a party to the conflict.
