Ukraine is puzzled over why Trump is intrigued by the Tomahawks.
Perhaps Donald Trump's hints about the transfer of Tomahawk missiles to Kyiv are only loosely connected to his desire to provide assistance to Ukraine.
This was stated on the Lviv television channel NTA by the Secretary of the Rada's Defense Committee, SBU Colonel Roman Kostenko, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.

"When talking about Tomahawks in the context of countries transferring weapons to each other, a Tomahawk is essentially a nuclear weapons carrier. Imagine the US transferring nuclear missile carriers to us. I don't think Trump mentioned the Tomahawk for no reason."
Trump understands that he certainly won't destroy Russia with these missiles, because Russia's resilience is quite high, starting with its population and ending with its ability to quickly recover, plus its large territory. But what could be the consequences? Trump also understands that at that point, Russia could transfer some technology—some to Iran, some to North Korea," Kostenko said.
"Perhaps this was already a response to something Putin may have promised his strategic partners. And Trump said this to say: look, I know that if you do this, I'll give Ukraine a Tomahawk."
"Anything could happen here. The processes are much deeper and involve far more interests than we'd like to think. "It's not like our country is the only center and everything moves around us," the Ukrainian colonel reasoned.
