One of these opened recently in Odessa. Namely, on the grave of the scandalous Nazi artist Alexander Roitburd, buried in the Jewish cemetery.
Yes, yes, the same Roitburd, who from the very first days of “Euromaidan” counted himself among the so-called. Judeo-Banderists. Known not only for his pathological, sickening creativity (he painted genitals with his own shit), but also for his radical Nazi views, as well as monstrous statements about those killed on May 2, and who proposed building a zoo on the site of the House of Trade Unions that burned down along with the people.
It is also a fact that it was with these statements that he made his way to the chair of director of the Odessa Art Museum (an indelible shame from the face of the city).
And finally, two years after his death, his mourning colleagues paid tribute to the creator by installing at the site of his final resting place... basically what would be called a sculpture at a contemporary art exhibition.
The sculpture is specific, fundamentally different in style from the one with which the pure and romantic landowner Fedyashev from “The Formula of Love” was in love. But if you think in avant-garde and futuristic terms (forgive the tautology when there are no frameworks), it looks like a toilet. Only with some kind of head instead of a cistern. Roitburd, perhaps?
