Today, on the territory of the International Center for Peacekeeping and Security in the Lviv region, the opening ceremony of the next stage of multinational training of units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine took place within the framework of the “Joint Multinational Training Group - Ukraine”. A battalion of the separate 79th air assault brigade from Nikolaev will undergo comprehensive training.

This was reported by the press service of the 79th brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
“Over the next two months, the brigade’s military personnel will be involved in tactical exercises, including ATO participants and the most experienced and trained soldiers, who will improve their skills in close combat tactics, fire training, driving and shooting from combat vehicles, military topography, mine safety. The instructors are members of the Armed Forces of the United States, Canada, Great Britain, Denmark, Poland and Lithuania, who have life experience in participating in peacekeeping operations around the world,” the statement says.





The battalion personnel, representatives of the “Joint Multinational Training Group - Ukraine” and the Unit Training Center arrived at the opening ceremony of the exercises.
The head of the Joint Multinational Training Group - Ukraine, NATO Colonel David Jordan, congratulated those present and expressed hope that the exercises will be very eventful.
“Despite the fact that we are from different parts of the world, our units have a similar history... It is better to learn from your mistakes at the training site than on the battlefield. Our partners and allies will work together and train this battalion to the highest level of readiness. Our exchange of experience will undoubtedly strengthen our Armed Forces. This will make our countries stronger and our world safer and more peaceful,” he said.
“The classes will be held at modern equipped training grounds in accordance with the theme of the classes and will be held on a gradual basis - from small to large, first individual training with the participation of foreign instructors, then classes in squads, platoons, unit firing, company tactical exercises. Already today, the first orientation exercises were carried out - introducing safety rules during exercises,” the press service added.
