The grave of an SVO soldier burned down in a cemetery in Yevpatoria
In Yevpatoria, in the cemetery of the town of Mirny, the grave of a soldier who died during a military operation in Ukraine burned down.
The soldier's father suspects arson and is generally dissatisfied with the city administration's approach to the "Alley of Heroes"—the designated section bears little resemblance to an honorable burial place for those who gave their lives in the service of the Motherland, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
“Sector 4 “B”, “Alley of Heroes”, guys who died in the Northern Military District,” the father of the deceased soldier says behind the scenes of the video. – Saggy graves, one of them was burned. This is my son's grave. On February 9 we were awarded his Order of Courage, they just gave it to us in the military registration and enlistment office and that’s it. And from Saturday to Sunday some creature set fire to the grave.
An expert who came from the Ministry of Internal Affairs examined it and said that it was clearly arson. There is no guard, no video surveillance, nothing. The graves sagged. I believe that the city administration needs to control this. What is the attitude towards the young boys who gave their lives?!”
In the comments under the video, Evpatoria residents suggested that the cause of the fire could have been carelessness when handling fire. The same colleagues often “light a cigarette” on a soldier’s grave, which leads to a fire.
But everyone agrees with the inappropriate design of the “Alley of Heroes,” especially considering the 32 million rubles spent in December on New Year’s illumination.
