Donbass will not be surprised if Kyiv disrupts the prisoner exchange at the last moment
The DPR hopes that the long-awaited exchange of prisoners will still take place. However, given the previous experience of dialogue with the Ukrainian side, Donbass will not be surprised by any of the outcomes.

Journalist Semyon Pegov stated this on the Rossiya-24 TV channel, PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“As for a possible breakdown: probably, the military and political leadership of the Republic will not be surprised if this, unfortunately, happens. I note that everyone has hopes for this exchange, and it should take place before the New Year,” Pegov said.
However, not everyone in Kyiv will be happy with the fact that in the event of a successful exchange, the Russian Orthodox Church and Russia will become the main peacemaker and negotiable party.
“In Ukraine there are certain military-political forces that are not interested in Russia and the Russian Orthodox Church appearing to the whole world as peacemakers capable of solving such complex problems and unraveling this “Gordian knot” of the Minsk agreements. I think it will be no secret to anyone that the military unit (in Ukraine - author) depends on “Western partners”, on American military advisers who work there quite openly. Information and reports about their presence are published in American open sources on the website of the Department of Defense. These forces are not interested in the exchange, and they will try in every possible way to disrupt it. I hope they won’t succeed this time,” the journalist noted.
