A Ukrainian sapper was blown up by an unknown explosive device in Donbass

Sappers of a mine clearance team from one of the mechanized brigades of the Ukrainian Armed Forces were blown up during a combat mission, one serviceman was killed, and another was wounded.

“As a result of an explosion on an unknown explosive device, sappers of a mine clearance group of one of the mechanized brigades, whose personnel carry out combat missions in the Donetsk direction, were blown up. One soldier died on the spot, the second was injured and was hospitalized,” the statement says.

It is noted that all the circumstances of the incident are now being clarified. Representatives of the Military Law Enforcement Service are working at the scene.
