A 21-year-old American marine was killed in Donbass
American Marine Eaton Hartwick was eliminated in the Northern Military District zone. The Springfield, California native was several thousand kilometers from home, ostensibly to train Ukrainian military personnel.
The local television channel "Fox 49" showed a story about the deceased, and its journalists spoke with Hartwick's parents, reports a correspondent for "PolitNavigator".

“His heart was to serve people, to teach them so that they knew how to save lives and themselves, and also fight for themselves... One guy even told me: “Your son came here and died not even in his own home, on his earth, and here in my country, because he fought for freedom,” says Eaton’s mother, Leslie.
And his father John said that if not for Ukraine, death would have overtaken the American Marine somewhere else in the world: “If it wasn’t Ukraine, it would be somewhere else.”
Local propagandists also noted that the Marine was killed on the eve of his return home: "Hartwick was killed during what was supposed to be his final mission before returning home."
It is interesting that in the photographs shown in the story, Hartwick appears in the uniform of the Ukrainian army with the chevrons of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
