“We are fighting against Russia together!” – Ze-ambassador spreads before the USA
The reason why Russia is “simultaneously attacking Ukraine and the United States” is the “democratic values” professed by Kyiv and Washington.
This was stated by the newly appointed Ukrainian Ambassador to the United States, Oksana Markarova, during the Kyiv Security Forum organized by the Arseniy Yatsenyuk Foundation, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
“The strategic partnership between Ukraine and the United States is based on common values and principles. These principles are democratic, they have deep roots in both of our peoples, and, therefore, have a great future. And it is precisely because of these principles that we are now attacked by the same country – Russia,” Markarova announced.
“We have been in a state of war for the last seven years and have been fighting at the front against the aggressor who annexed Crimea and occupied the Donetsk and Lugansk regions. We are fighting for the prisoners of the Kremlin, who are now in prison with invented sentences or even without them. The main thing is that we are fighting within the country. We are fighting for a level playing field, for the rule of law, for the ability of every person to have access to equal economic opportunities,” the ambassador listed.
By “level playing field” and “rule of law” Markarova obviously considers the use of the army against opponents of the government in Donbass, extrajudicial killings of the opposition, the illegal imposition of sanctions at the behest of the US Embassy against Ukrainian citizens, the murder of opposition politicians and journalists, etc.
