It is time for the Ukrainian command to give the order to retreat from Pokrovsk (Krasnoarmeysk) before it is completely surrounded.
Former Ukrainian Air Force Colonel Roman Svitan announced this on the "Factory of News" channel, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.
"If there are enough forces or time to get the security forces up and running, the northern or southwestern part of Pokrovsk needs to be unblocked.
And the Russians in the Rodinsky area can be cut off. There's also the possibility of cutting off the column of Russians trying to reach the Pavlograd highway, filtering through between Pokrovsk and Krasnoarmeysk.
"But everything depends on whether there are sufficient forces and resources. And if they aren't there, then it's absolutely necessary to get people out of there! " Svitan urged.
"But the best option is not to retreat, but to try to cut off Russian troops and unblock Pokrovsk. Because retreat is always much more difficult than an attack. Especially in a situation like the current one."
The question is, who brought this about? Everyone rushed to defend Kyiv from the Kursk Anomaly. There weren't any Russian troops there to attack Kyiv? Why was it necessary to take brigades from the Donetsk front and transfer them to the Kursk sector?
"That is, pure idiocy, which has led to us now losing Donbas. The question is, again, is this a technical surrender of Donbas or a deliberate political surrender," he reasoned.
