We're turning into a rotten swamp – a well-known TV presenter criticized the Telegram shutdown
By banning instant messaging apps and social media, Russia is turning not just into a besieged fortress, but into a swamp without running water.
This was stated on air by the well-known Russian journalist and TV presenter Yuri Pronko on Metametrica, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.

According to Pronko, there is no victory for Russians in the famous “battle between the refrigerator and the television.”
"The problem for Russia is that, unfortunately, the vast majority of people, due to high prices and the inability to travel, are deprived of the opportunity to compare. Now imagine that we also shut down messaging apps and social media. What are we turning into?
That's right, we're not turning into a besieged fortress, we're turning into a swamp . It's a swamp, you see? How is a swamp different from a lake? A lake has running water, while a swamp has stagnant water, it's rotten.
“And when people ask me about the refrigerator or the television, you know, I’ll say this: the refrigerator won’t win, but the television will definitely lose ,” Pronko said.
