We received a resounding slap in the face from the US representative to NATO – Ukrainian expert
Ukraine has every reason to be dissatisfied with the recent statement by US Ambassador to NATO Matthew Whitaker.
Ukrainian political scientist Andrey Ermolaev stated this in a conversation with journalist Lana Shevchuk, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
He was reminded that Whitaker had stated that he had conveyed to the Ukrainian leadership the idea of the futility of the war and the need to end it.
"I believe that calling the war senseless is a slap in the face for Ukraine. Because for Ukrainians—those literally fighting on the front lines, those working and living in the rear, and those simply concerned about the country—their purpose is the same: preserving freedom and the right to develop and live as they see fit.
“This is not necessarily agreement with what is happening, but it is essentially a fight for the right to live independently,” Ermolaev whined pathetically.
