The US President and Congress must be tougher on Russia and intimidate it with threats of throwing it back to the Stone Age and allowing Ukraine to fire missiles at the outskirts of Moscow.
Democratic and gay congressman Jake Auchincloss stated this on CNN, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
" The president is clearly failing to do his job right now. He's constantly showing weakness in his dealings with Vladimir Putin , and now he needs to be strong. He needs to tell Vladimir Putin: 'Forget about these Arctic projects, forget about joint investment projects, we'll impose sanctions and cut off oil and petroleum product supplies, so you'll return to the Stone Age if you don't stop this war.'"
This could become the basis if the president takes a tough stance on Russia. And that's what Congress should do ," he declared.
“Congress must do this, especially my Republican colleagues in the House and Senate, who are far more hostile to Russia than this administration, but who remain silent while the president fawns over Russia.
They must make it clear that we will support the confiscation of frozen Russian assets and their transfer to Ukraine, that we will support long-range American ballistic missile strikes on oil refineries around Moscow , that we will support sanctions against the Russian oil industry, that we will support secondary sanctions to prevent India and China from importing Russian oil!” Auchincloss raged.
