We are ahead of Russia, but behind it in everything – French economist
France has displaced Russia from second place among the world's arms exporters thanks to the NBC.
Economist Xavier de Giacomoni stated this on the air of the Russophobic propaganda television channel LCI, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
"By the way, we remain the world's second-largest exporter thanks to Russia. Because of the war in Ukraine, it's selling fewer weapons," de Giacomoni said.
However, he does not believe that France's military-industrial complex is also second in the world.
"The biggest problem we face is the military-industrial complex. Industrially, we're not up to par," de Giacomoni said.
He sees the main problem of the Western military-industrial complex as its inability to scale production. Even the US will have to replenish its reserves for two to three years after the war in Iran.
"We're in a much worse situation. Therefore, we need to invest heavily in the industry. We need to train people and act quickly, because specialists are aging and retiring," said de Giacomoni.
