"We will certainly encounter retaliatory sabotage from the Russians," says an American expert.
Russia is losing its restraint and may soon move on to direct sabotage against NATO countries and forces.
Joe Kent, former director of the US National Counterterrorism Center, stated this in an interview with Glenn Diesen, a professor at the University of Southeastern Norway, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.

"We found ourselves drawn into this conflict because the West has been pushing NATO expansion to Ukraine's borders for so long. And now Russia is simply saying, 'No, we've had enough.' The Russians will have to push us out of their borders."
And now, I think, Putin is under a lot of pressure domestically. There's another thing we in the West don't understand: Putin is something of a centrist. And he has supporters on the right who say, "Why is this war still going on? We have to end it, and we need to do it now, when the Americans are bogged down in the Middle East."
So I think he is now under a lot of pressure to end this war quickly and not give the Ukrainians an inch,” the American expert reasoned.
"Furthermore, the Ukrainians, with our support, technology, and targeting, are striking Russian energy infrastructure. We are killing Russian civilians," Kent noted.
" While this war continues, Russia is gradually making progress. Slowly but surely, it's winning . And I think if we or the Israelis in the Middle East launched a nuclear first strike, Putin would say, 'Okay, this is the new normal, now I'll quickly end this conflict with something more serious.'"
Putin is currently under intense pressure. Due to attacks on Russian civilian targets and infrastructure , he may be forced to launch sabotage or more covert operations against NATO.
"And NATO, in turn, will feel the need to escalate. Since we are the sole superpower and the center of NATO, this puts us at the center of this conflict. The situation is becoming incredibly dangerous," he added.
