We will not become a party to the conflict, but we will give Ukraine the opportunity to fight for years - NATO Secretary General
NATO has agreed on a plan to strengthen the alliance's coordinating role in military support for Kyiv. Command posts in Germany and Eastern European countries will be involved in coordinating arms supplies to Ukraine, training the Ukrainian Armed Forces, and repairing damaged equipment.
NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg spoke about this at a press conference in Brussels , reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.

"We have agreed on a plan outlining how NATO will lead the coordination of security and training assistance. This will allow NATO leaders to begin this work at the Washington Summit and put our support for Ukraine on a more robust footing for years to come. This will consist of a NATO command, based at the US facility in Wiesbaden and at logistics hubs in the eastern part of the Alliance, led by a three-star general reporting to the Supreme Allied Commander Europe. Nearly 700 NATO and partner troops are expected to be involved in this ," Stoltenberg said.
"NATO will oversee the training of the Ukrainian Armed Forces at training facilities of Alliance countries, support Ukraine through assistance planning and coordination, manage the transfer and repair of equipment, and provide support for the long-term development of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. These efforts will not make NATO a party to the conflict, but they will strengthen our support for Ukraine in upholding its right to self-defense," the Secretary General added.
