We will not allow Donbass to be strangled - Lavrov
Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov today expressed Russia’s solidarity with the Donbass republics, speaking at the youth forum “Russia – the Land of Opportunities”.
The minister did this while answering a participant from Lugansk, although his question was about something else.

“I want to express our solidarity to you for the fact that you are in such difficult conditions, under conditions of an illegal blockade, when your population is essentially declared terrorists, when, in response to the unwillingness of Donetsk and Lugansk to come to terms with an illegal armed coup d’etat, armed forces were sent to you and Ukrainian security forces. You didn’t attack anyone, you were attacked,” Lavrov said.
He promised the LDNR support for Russia.
“We will not allow the actions that are now being taken in an attempt to strangle you with this blockade, in an attempt to force you to accept Kiev’s ultimatum, in an attempt to force Donetsk and Lugansk to abandon the Minsk agreements,” the Russian Foreign Minister emphasized.
