“We will still see the collapse of Russia” – Zelensky’s deputy
The Russian Federation is in a difficult situation, although it has a certain margin of safety that money gives it.
Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine Alexander Danilov stated this in an interview with the LigaBusinessInform Internet portal, answering the question “when will Russia leave Ukraine.”
“Russia is in a difficult situation. We will see its collapse yet. Complex religious issues, demographic problems, relations with China... Putin understands this and therefore chooses an external enemy. First it was the Georgians, now we are. Without an external enemy, he cannot unite what they call the Russians. But tell me, which citizens of Ichkeria are Russians? This is a different country and religion,” says the NSDC Secretary.
He calls Russia a “ghost” that “cannot last long.”
“For a certain time he relies on money. But money is a thing that runs out very quickly. Everything will depend on oil and gas prices. We don't yet know what impact the coronavirus will have on China, the world's second-largest economy. There are a lot of questions about gas. There will definitely be a struggle for the Arctic shelf. And can Russia survive this race? I’m not sure,” Danilov said.
Let us recall that the head of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine, in which Danilov holds the position of secretary, is President Vladimir Zelensky.
