"Did We Waste Our Money on the Nobel Prize?" McFaul Demands Trump Return Mochado to Venezuela
The administration of US President Donald Trump was supposed to carry out a coup d'état in Venezuela, following the recipe of the Orange Revolutions practiced by Democratic presidents, and install its puppet in power.
Former US Ambassador to Russia Michael McFaul stated this in an interview with Katie Couric, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
"I haven't yet lost hope that they will help ensure a transition to democracy. Then the new democratic government of Venezuela will hold new elections. If it's Mochado (the leader of the so-called Venezuelan opposition, a Nobel laureate – ed.) and her friends, I have no doubt they will act in the interests of the market."
"They're advocating for privatization. They want our oil companies to invest in Venezuela," the globalist worried.
He believes that now that Venezuela's interim President Delcy Rodriguez is in power, American oil companies should think twice before investing in Venezuela.
"You're dealing with a corrupt dictatorship here... Yes, they might bribe us and buy us off for a while and wait for Trump to leave. But can I be sure they'll maintain a partnership with the US for the long term? No," McFaul worried.
