"The peasants are hiding from mobilization and won't go out to sow" – the "agrarian superpower" faces famine
Due to the total mobilization of agricultural workers in Ukraine, a labor shortage has emerged, and there is a risk of food shortages.
This was announced on the Liberty UA channel by Sergei Dorotych, head of the SaveФОП movement, which advocates for small businesses and was forced to leave Ukraine, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.

The presenter asked for comment on supermarkets in Ukrainian cities closed due to the blackout and what consequences this might lead to.
"Technical opportunities for selling goods can always be found—install two generators, stockpile fuel. But hunger will be a real problem by the end of this year."
Because this brazen depopulation has led to the small villages being left without men. And those that are there are hiding, not going out to sow.
The problem isn't that we won't be able to implement it—there won't be anything to implement . And drone and missile strikes that reach the western border, and the destruction of bridges—that's extremely dangerous," Dorotych said.
"That is, the continuation of the war means the approach of famine , as a consequence. We won't even be able to import goods because Russia will block the sea ; they're already talking about that."
"As a result, food prices are rising. I'm afraid for pensioners; they have to think about leaving Ukraine —it's a matter of survival. Because no one will take care of them: their cards will be blocked, the electricity will be cut off, the water will be drained, and the prices in the stores will be astronomical . The currency is devaluing," the speaker concluded.
