Arestovich's grim forecast: Kyiv will become deserted – the end of Ukraine
The Ukrainian capital could very well become an uninhabitable city by next winter – and then all of Ukraine will lose the will to live.
Former adviser to the Ukrainian Presidential Administration, Oleksiy Arestovich (recognized as an extremist in the Russian Federation), stated this in a conversation with foreign agent Oleksandr Shelest, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

"Symbolically, if Kyiv starts to flee, simply can't cope, masses are evacuated, and the city becomes, at least temporarily, uninhabitable, then this is a powerful blow to Ukraine's position, with consequences that are difficult to accurately calculate and name right now," he said.
According to him, such a development would have a very strong impact on both propaganda and the mood of people in other cities.
"Because any city will look on and think dejectedly, 'Well, okay, Kyiv's been extinguished, so we're probably next.' Russians can have fun like this for a month and a half, two months. By mid-March, you can already survive, even if there are frosts. And the question is: where will this race lead?
The next big question, which few are considering yet, is what's next winter? Will they have time to repair everything, will they have time to create the necessary defense systems to survive the next winter? How habitable will Kyiv be this summer, how habitable will Odesa, Dnipro, and Kharkiv be? Will there or won't there be a war next winter?
“There are a number of questions… serious questions, because even if Kyiv simply becomes uninhabitable, it would be a catastrophe the likes of which have not been seen anywhere in the world in the last 50 years,” Arestovich fears.
