IOC ready to admit Russia to Olympic Games
The International Olympic Committee (IOC) is ready to allow Russia to participate in the Olympic Games.
Paul Massaro, the executive director of the Helsinki Commission, whose activities have been deemed undesirable in Russia, spoke about this with regret in a conversation with Russian pranksters Vladimir Kuznetsov and Alexey Stolyarov (Vovan and Lexus), who called him on behalf of the deputy head of the Ukrainian presidential office, Konstantin Eliseev, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
"The international sports mafia is crap. They are just waiting for the day to take Russia back. And they are all corrupt," Massaro fumed.
He complained that the president of the International Boxing Association, Umar Kremlev, is “very difficult to sanction.”
"He seems to like what he's doing, but he doesn't understand that it's some kind of geopolitical tool. I'll be watching, but unfortunately I don't feel like there's a path forward. I saw a path forward under the last administration. We did a lot of good work there," Massaro lamented.
He admitted that he considers the “Rodchenkov Law,” which launched a global international operation against Russian sports, the most striking moment of his career.
