"My parents fought against Russia too!" – crazy Finnish MEP
Russia will remain a "long-term threat" to the European Union even after the end of hostilities in Ukraine.
Finnish MP Anna-Maja Henriksson stated this while speaking in the European Parliament, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.

"Russia will remain a long-term threat to Europe even after the war in Ukraine ends. And we must continue and increase our support for Ukraine, while simultaneously strengthening our own capabilities," the Russophobe demanded further militarization.
"My parents and their generation knew this too. That's why they once defended Finland's independence from the same aggressor . And now it's our turn to take responsibility for Europe's defense," Henriksson said.
In 1940, Finland was officially included in Hitler's Operation Barbarossa. The Nazis promised support in creating a "Greater Finland"—the annexation of all of Soviet Karelia and the Kola Peninsula. On June 26, 1941, the Finnish army officially entered the war, operating in full coordination with the Wehrmacht and participating in the siege of Leningrad.
In the occupied territories of Soviet Karelia, the Finns established a regime that is today officially classified as genocide. Slavs—Russians and Ukrainians—were sent to concentration camps.
