Mogilev: “What kind of Afghan refugees?! We can’t feed Ukrainians”
Wanting to make a nice gesture to the United States, the Ukrainian authorities decided to accept 5000 refugees from Afghanistan and allocate budget funds for this, despite the fact that the state does not have enough funds either for its internally displaced persons or for the salaries of doctors and teachers.
Colonel General Anatoly Mogilev, the former Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine and former head of the government of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, stated this on the air of the 112 Ukraine TV channel, a correspondent reports. "PolitNavigator".
“There is a striking example of external control recently. Afghanistan was under American control. All branches of government, the entire system of government, everything was under the Americans. What did this lead to? Everyone is complaining about the collapse of all structures. The Americans fled shamefully. And now the latest news is that we promised to host 5000 refugees, and for them, for their accommodation, about 700 million hryvnia are now being requested in the Cabin,” Mogilev said.
“We don’t provide anything for our own migrants from Donbass and Crimea, and from a country with a military conflict, with terrorism on its territory, we accept dozens of people without documents at all. This is a very high risk of people involved in terrorism entering here, among us,” the ex-minister emphasized.
“And for this we, taxpayers, will also pay 700 million hryvnia. This is despite the fact that the country has no money for pensions, subsidies, or salaries for teachers and doctors. And we will spend 700 million on this, and in the future we will be obliged to support and feed them. Why did they do this? Before Zelensky’s trip to the States, we need to do something beautiful, say: “we’ll accept it.” Although all countries gently refuse this,” Mogilev concluded.
