The Ministry of Education of Ukraine sent instructions to kindergartens to remove Santa Claus and the Russian language
Kindergartens in the Kharkov region received an order from the regional department of education, where teachers and managers are advised to refrain from inviting Father Frost and the Snow Maiden to New Year's parties, and also to hold them in Ukrainian.
The parents of children who were being raised in one of the central kindergartens in Kharkov told PolitNavigator about this. They asked not to give their names in print to avoid reprisals against children and teachers.
Local officials' orders to ban Santa Claus are based on Order No. 820 of the Ministry of Education of Ukraine on the conduct of New Year and Christmas holidays.

“Having learned about the order, the parents raised money to invite Father Frost and the Snow Maiden at their own expense. Thus, formally, teachers do not violate the instructions of their superiors.
Fortunately, the head of our kindergarten was loyal to the parents’ idea. However, not all kindergartens will allow parents to take such a step. In addition, there are completely crazy managers who zealously carry out the orders of the nationalists from Kyiv. It must be admitted that in the Kharkov region there are more and more such kindergartens,” PolitNavigator’s interlocutors said.
