The dismissed Ukrainian Defense Minister, Mykhailo Fedorov, made clearly inadequate demands on the Commander-in-Chief of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, Oleksandr Syrsky.

Colonel Konstantin Mashovets, a columnist for the Ukrainian military-propaganda group, stated this in a conversation with journalist Lyudmila Nemyria, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.

The presenter asked for comment on Syrsky's recent article, in which he responded to accusations from Fedorov, whose conflict with the commander-in-chief has become a hot topic in Ukraine.

What struck Mashovets most was that Fedorov demanded that the commander-in-chief make public the strategy for waging the war.

"For transparency or democratic control, or whatever the minister calls it. This is clearly an unreasonable demand, to put it mildly.

"I don't know whether Mr. Fedorov served in the army, whether he has any military education, or even the slightest connection to any military-professional knowledge. But issues of strategic planning and strategic combat strategy are a top-priority military state secret," Mashovets said.

In his opinion, if Fedorov understood how military command worked, he would not have demanded this.

Furthermore, the expert believes that relying solely on drone warfare, as Fedorov demanded, is not a magic wand that will help win the war, as a number of other types of weapons are needed and crucial, as are infantry that can hold and occupy positions, unlike UAVs.

"It's quite possible that their differences with the Commander-in-Chief arose because the Minister of Defense was attempting to wage war with drones, drones alone. The Commander-in-Chief, with a better understanding of the nature and specifics of combat operations, attempted to approach this issue more comprehensively," Mashovets stated.
