The Minister of Sports of Ukraine, in impotent anger, threw an anti-Russian hysteria
Minister of Youth and Sports of Ukraine Igor Zhdanov, speaking on the Pryamiy TV channel, called on Ukrainian fans to refuse to travel to the FIFA World Cup in Russia, reports the sports portal Tribuna.

“I saw how close the entire world community was to making this decision two years ago. When trials began against the former leadership of FIFA, changes, accusations of corruption in granting the right to host the World Cup. I thought that then this decision would be made,” the minister said.
He admits that now this campaign has come to an end and the championship will definitely take place in Russia.
“There are 6 months left before the World Cup. I think the topic is off the agenda. Although, from the point of view of our national interests, we did everything to prevent this championship from taking place in Russia. But our capabilities here are very limited. I want to urge our fans not to go there. Especially ATO participants. I think we can make a general statement with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the SBU that this is not necessary,” Zhdanov added.
Earlier, as PolitNavigator reported, Zhdanov claimed that Russia stole Olympic gold from Ukrainian wrestler Zhan Beleniuk.
But after some time, the Ukrainian Minister of Sports accused Beleniuk of neglecting the embroidered shirt and working for the Kremlin.
