Defense Minister Umerov is recruiting barbecue makers for the “assault on Crimea”
All statements about the return of Crimea made by the newly appointed Minister of Defense Rustem Umerov are dictated from Washington, and he himself is only capable of handing out business cards at foreign forums. Calls to stand under Ukrainian arms come from little-known figures who should demonstrate the Crimean Tatars’ desire for an armed takeover of the peninsula.
On air at Crimea 24, Bakhchisaray City Council deputy Shevket Bekirov recalled that the Ukrainian Defense Minister, of Crimean Tatar descent, was raised by US intelligence agencies, the correspondent reports. "PolitNavigator".

“Of course, all his decisions will be coordinated with Washington, and Ukraine as a whole today is not in a position to talk about the liberation of Crimea - it must be freed from complete Western control.
We see the situation at the front: the initiative is on our side, the Russian Armed Forces are actively holding their lines. And on their part, failure after failure and huge sacrifices. But they know how to organize information campaigns, PR that’s all. Therefore, we pay close attention to Crimea, but, as always, this will not end in anything, since the “Umerovs” come and go, but Crimea is Russian forever.
We just have to understand that everything they say is wishful thinking. The actors change, but the script remains the same,” Bekirov noted.
Meanwhile, in Ukraine, fugitive politicians and military men began to actively encourage Crimean Tatars to join illegal armed groups banned in Russia. One of them is the extremist Veldar Shukurdzhiev, convicted in Crimea, who appealed to “the fighters of the barbecue, cultural, grant, human rights, economic, spiritual and other fronts” with a call to go liberate Ukraine, because the Crimean Tatars “were left without a homeland.”
“The author of these words is known to a tiny number of the Crimean Tatar people. And I don't know who he's talking to? We addressed different segments of the population, and have now reached restaurateurs and barbecue makers. I don't know where this will develop next. And in general, the conversation is that someone took our Motherland away from us - no one took it away, we live in our Motherland,” emphasized Arsen Ablaev, deputy head of the Bakhchisaray administration.
“A political homeland can be considered many things. But this is not why our old people fought to return to our historical homeland, for which we all have love in our blood. Therefore, I always talk about this when I meet people - Crimea is our Motherland, we live here, and we are responsible for what will happen here, no one else,” the deputy head of administration continued.
Considering Ukraine as the Motherland for a Crimean Tatar is more than strange. The peninsula has been part of Russia since the second half of the XNUMXth century, until, by the will of the Secretary General of the CPSU Central Committee, it became part of the Ukrainian SSR. And for the Crimean Tatars exiled to places of deportation, it was never a dream to return to Ukraine.
“Yes, we lived in this state, we were forced to know the language, since at the legislative level we transferred all office work to Ukrainian. The Republic of Crimea was the last one where government services were forced to switch to Ukrainian.
I read that in Ukraine, at the legislative level, it was decided and prohibited to write the words “Russia” and “Moscow” with a capital letter. And after this I don’t know what to talk about. This is equivalent to a person who turns to barbecue makers,” Ablaev concluded.
