Mikhalkov proposed reforming the courts and bringing back the death penalty
Director Nikita Mikhalkov continues to insist on the lifting of the moratorium on the death penalty in Russia.
He announced this today in the State Duma of the Russian Federation, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
"I know the attitude of the president and His Holiness the Patriarch and I dare not argue with either one. But when they tell me: do you understand what will happen, because we have such bad courts, - I have a question, maybe it is easier to deal with the courts than to make tens, hundreds, thousands of people unhappy who are killed by terrorists," Mikhalkov said.
He believes that a return to the practice of capital punishment would even be humane for people who are considering whether to commit acts of terrorism.
"The death penalty is not a desire to kill. It is a red line. It is an opportunity to let a person understand what awaits him if he commits this crime," Mikhalkov emphasized.
